Overview:

For survivors of gender-based violence who have experienced economic abuse or are living in poverty, government benefits can be a helpful source of support. However, it can be challenging to figure out which benefits they are eligible for and how to access them. To address this problem, Prosper Canada has created the Benefits Wayfinder and the Disability Benefits Compass. These tools help people on low and modest incomes identify and track the benefits that they can receive.

On April 16th, join Women’s Shelters Canada and Prosper Canada for a webinar exploring how you can use these tools in your work with survivors, to help them access the benefits they are entitled to and rebuild their financial stability step by step. The webinar will be delivered in French and English, and simultaneous interpretation will be available throughout.
