Has your organization overlooked a common workplace hazard?
One in three Canadian workers will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Of those, over 80% said it negatively affected their work. More than half reported that abusive acts continued at or near their workplaces, and over 40% discloses to someone at work. When domestic violence shows up in the workplace, it affects the safety, productivity, and well-being of the entire team.
Women’s Shelters Canada’s new Domestic Violence and Your Workplace training helps organizations recognize and respond to the impacts of domestic violence at work.
Partnering with the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters (ACWS), WSC is training five provincial/territorial associations across five distinct provinces/territories to deliver the training in their regions while WSC provides training nationally.
